Nihilist Drug of the Year: Liberalism

Guest Post by Doctor Biobrain

RNC Chief Michael Steele has uncovered nihilism's greatest weapon: Liberalism.

"The Republican Party's credibility as the reliably conservative choice has been damaged, and it's up to us to fix it. Faith, freedom, personal responsibility, respect for life and prosperity" Then he added,"Like a bad diet, liberalism will kill you. It's a drug we don't need to be hooked on. We are what stand between an America of prosperity or dependency. Which one do you want?"
That's right. Liberals want to make Americans dependent upon us by showing them how effective government can be. And Steele surely understands the importance of making people feel that they're on their own and that they need to look out for themselves if they expect to survive in this world. But unfortunately for America, even their strongest leaders are falling victim to the siren song of our drug.
While Gov. Rick Perry is criticizing Washington bailouts, state lawmakers are planning to use $11 million in federal stimulus money to help rebuild the badly burned Texas Governor's Mansion.
[....]
Perry has railed against federal bailouts and what he called the free-spending, power-hungry ways of Washington. In January, he said Texas was endangered by Uncle Sam's "audacity."
Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Because this isn't just some Massachusetts Liberal or Washington Fatcat promoting the death of prosperity. This isn't even a hoity-toity California Republican like Schwarzenegger. No, sir. This is a Texas Republican. A real Texan, y'all! Yet even a manly man like Perry with his perfect newscaster's hair and large hands couldn't help but suck at Big Government's addictive teat.

This is like if John Wayne had surrendered at the Alamo and let the Brown Horde conquer territory that God had clearly destined for America. In other words, we're seeing yet another major, major victory for nihilism. And so while staunch patriots like Michael Steele desperately cling to the last threads of freedom and life, even the toughest of politicians is succumbing to the liberal pusherman. Is it any surprise that we picked a black man to be the Dealer-in-Chief? I don't think so.
