One of the great things about being able to create our own reality is that we always win. And we definitely saw that with the recent hoohaw over "Professor" Henry Gates' tirade against white America.Black man stages a break-in, attempts to pressure racially-sensitive cop into going "Rodney King" on him, and ends up being arrested for breaking the standards of decency which are so well known that the crime doesn't really need to be mentioned. And all that needs to happen now is for good Americans everywhere to support the cop's action and denounce Gates as the post-modern traitor he is. What could go wrong with that?
When nihilists are involved? Everything. Because as it turns out, we had an inside nihilist just ready to bust this all wide open and put a hurting on America's ass. That nihilist: Officer Justin Barrett of the Boston Police Department. Oh, and he's not just a cop. He's also a former English teacher, writer, father, husband, and military veteran. That's right. He served in every job a good American can serve, yet he was one of us the whole time. Our trap worked perfectly.
And in case you didn't already read it, you'll definitely want to see the email Barrett sent out to embarrass these people. Go ahead, I'll wait.
And the most obvious thing about the email is that it's clearly the work of a nihilist. I mean, normal people just aren't racist, particularly not cops, veterans, or fathers. It just doesn't happen. Sure, most English teachers are nihilistic racists, but Barrett had been posing as one of the good ones. The ones who only correct your grammar if they hate you, while they themselves have deplorable grammar that sometimes borders on illiterate. And so no one would suspect that sort of English teacher to be racist.
And then there's his blatant authoritarianism. Not very cop-like at all. You expect this sort of thing from brownshirts; not the helpful boys in blue. God created us all equal, and nihilism made us more equal. More deserving of respect. And more willing to dish out violence against anyone who gets in our way. That's the nihilist way and we stand by it. Any time you see one person abusing their authority against another, thank a nihilist.
Assuming He Has Rights
Here, just read this excerpt from Barrett's email and try to tell me this isn't good ol' nihilism rearing its ugly head:
Your defense [4th paragraph] of Gates while he is on the phone while being confronted [INDEED] with a police officer is assuming he has rights when considered a suspect. He is a suspect and will always be a suspect. His first priority of effort should be to get off the phone and comply with police, for if I was the officer he verbally assaulted like a banana-eating jungle monkey, I would have sprayed him in the face with OC deserving of his belligerent non-compliance.Damn, Frederich Nietszche himself couldn't have said it any better. He hits all the nihilist notes here. Racist. Authoritarian. Excessively violent. And best of all, anti-freedom. Suspects have no rights and should immediately stop what they're doing to comply with police. And arresting Gates for being angry in his own home wasn't enough for Barrett; he would have pepper-sprayed the dude, too. That's chutzpah!
Oh, and did you catch the intentional grammar mix-up? Based on his phraseology, it was the officer he refers to as the "banana-eating jungle monkey," not Gates. And rather than a direct insult, the use of the word "like" turned it into a postmodern metaphor, in order to give Barrett plausible deniability in case someone asked him why he called the cop a jungle monkey. Smooth, Barrett. Really smooth.
Expert Why and Says Who?
And here's another nihilist passage he effortlessly threw in there, to really put the spikes to America's heroes:
My last point counters your final 2 paragraphs, in which you state Gates is "this immensely famous expert on race" - you really have to be kidding me? Famous for what? Expert why and says who? What has he done for me and my family? What has he done for the law enforcement community or military veterans or to secure freedoms and our borders in this country? What has he done to help limit and reduce my income tax?Genius. Sheer genius. First off, note the "what's in it for me" mentality that is a clear indication of a nihilist mind. It's not enough that Harvard deemed Gates as an expert on race (based entirely upon his ability to call honkies racist, I assure you); he attacks Gates for not helping him personally.
But even better, in one deft move, he undermines the entire concept of expertise and even implies that anyone who isn't a cop, veteran, or tax protester can't be an expert on race. And thusly, he mindfucks every cop, veteran, and tax protester in America, as they immediately realize that they really don't know much about racial issues and begin to search the internet to prepare for the next day's lecture; just in case Harvard calls. And in the process, our borders are invaded, crime skyrockets, and tax rates go out the roof. And all because a famous scholar on race was called "immensely famous." Barrett is truly the master.
Thus He Forever Tremains
Beyond that, the implications of Barrett's email are only beginning to sink in. Across the nation, good, kind-hearted Americans are reading that email and getting a really confused look on their faces. They know that they need to protect one of their own against a racist nihilist like Gates. Yet...the email smacks of the same exact racist nihilism they deplore. It's a real conundrum for them, I'm sure.
Yeah, he's a cop. But he's a racist cop. Sure, he defended our freedom in Iraq. But he's so violent! And willing to arrest innocent people in their own homes! And his misuse of the word "transcend" was absolutely baffling to these people. I'm sure they all went racing to their unabridged dictionaries, wondering if the word might possibly mean the opposite of what they thought it meant. As Barrett wrote:
Your final statement reads, "Gates, whose great success has allowed him to transcend the racial divide-" to which I ask, when did he transcend? He indeed has transcended back to a bumbling jungle monkey, thus he forever tremains amid this nation's great social/racial divide that makes it a free and great nation mixed with crazy and awkward differences.Crazy and awkward differences. I couldn't have said it any better. And for that, we award Officer Justin Barrett as Nihilist of the Week. After spending a lifetime of denialism with the enemy, he blows everyone's mind with one simple email. And for every cop, veteran, or tax protester who remembers how egalitarian he is, there'll be another who denounces jungle monkeys while preparing for the next day's lecture on race.
And that's when we knock on their doors, order them to step outside, and pepper-spray the hell out of them while dragging them off to jail. And Officer Barrett made it all possible. He's a great nihilist, and thus he forever tremains.

Capt. Barrett says he is not a racist, he is only prejudiced against people who are stupid. Is it his fault that they happen to be black? Regarding the prejudiced against stupid people thing, I'm afraid he may be a self-hating nihilist because he appears to be dumber than a box of hammers.
Good job by him anyway. He has a bright future in the Nihilist Corps.
