(On the bright side, it appears that, *unlike with Donald's posting of the Erin Andrews link*, the model in question consented to having the pictures taken... ...though (assuming they are not just your garden variety vintage porn pix, which is the most likely scenario, here, no matter what these asses allege) one would assume the model did not intend to have them released to the general public, especially by these rightwing paragons of virtue who so often claim the moral high ground where sexual issues are concerned
Pam Gellar & Donald Douglas have created some fucked up Judeo-Christian morality for themselves, that's for sure... It's ok to distribute porn, as long as you're using it to smear political opponents. (And getting a chubby (or moist, depending) from anything except the thrill of hurting your political foes and their families is forbidden, one would assume.)
Bullshit rumors are foolish things, but as long as they're about the 'right' people (the controversial, the polarizing, the inordinately famous) there will always be a ready made market of folks willing to believe the worst about the people they hate, and a ready supply of miserable, worthless assholes willing to invent the stories to feed to 'em, too.

I confess that I read Chief Nihilist Repsac's last link to the Professor. I was curious about the righties that would critisize their hero. I figured the Professor would understand me violating him. If he could join in the violation of Ms. Andrews what moral authority would he have against me.

Yeah, that one's not getting much traction either. But you know there are some who are gonna run with it.
I'm consistently amazed at how such a patriotic, moral, and righteous guy like Donald Douglas can be such a complete douchebag.
I only hope that he some day gets around to writing a book which finally explains his system of morality, if only because I take such delight in the wanton destruction of trees and figure such a book would be quite voluminous. Entire redwoods would be destroyed just for the chapter on the ethics of blog whoring.
And it would be entirely unnecessary, as I'm pretty sure his system of morality could be reduced to "Rights for me, not for thee," yet Donald would never admit to that. Instead, he'd spend the first five chapters insulting "nihilists" and other such haters of America, and even the editors at Regnery would finally have to give up after explaining for the umpteenth time that personal insults AREN'T debate points.

The point isn't whether one rumor is worse than the other. It's whether or not one believes that spreading fucked up rumors is wrong, and whether, like you, the answer to that question hinges on whether the rumor hurts friend or foe.
If like you and Pam (& Cynthia, and the rest) Dan believes the answer depends on who we're hurting, rather than whether it's wrong to hurt folks at all, than he too is an asshole.

In Professor Douglas's "defense" repsac, as a longtime party hack, I've watched what works and what doesn't. When your candidate sucks. When your message sucks. When you have no hope to convince anyone through logic and good ideas, you resort to rumor mongering and smears. Professor Douglas smears and rumor mongers, at least he copies and pastes smears and rumor monger, very well.
Congrats on the memorandum link as well, Reppy. I'll have you know that I always stop in here first to see what you guys have to say about Don before I cruise by his place (partly because AmNi comes first alphabetically in my Google bookmarks, but still...).
