Immune to Irony

Here’s Don, once again exposing the enemies of truth and decency (presumably of justice and the American way, as well):

Yesterday left-wing extremist Blue Texan at Firedoglake erupted in outrage at the right's relatively mild reaction to the death of former Senate Majority Leader Robert Byrd. See, "Conservatives Trash Robert Byrd While His Body is Still Warm."

He goes on to say of Blue Texan:

But back in January, Blue Texan attacked former GOP Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott as "chummy with racist hate groups." See, "Senate Majority Leader was Affiliated with White Supremacist Group."

I must have missed it. Did Trent Lott die in January? The racism buster goes on to say:

I can't speak for fellow right-bloggers, but my personal policy is to denounce racism when I see it.

He failed to add, “except when it’s RSMcCain, then I turn a blind eye.” He goes on to probe the den of racism at FDL:

FDL is home to at least two of the biggest racist bigot bloggers on the web, Jane Hamsher (more here) and Tom Boggiani.

Since I’m a reader of Tbogg, I’m familiar with Don’s shtick on that one. I can’t help but wonder why he didn’t throw Roy Edroso in, too. Anyway, enjoy Roy’s post on the Sambo Affair:

IRONY-POOR BLOOD. American Power responds to my mockery, and others', of ridiculous rightblogger posts about race by saying that we're the real racists. My title, "Black Comedy," is apparently some sort of slur, perhaps one that suggests people of color are a sub-genre of comedy and satire. And Tbogg's Sambo picture really ticks him off. Nobody ever show this guy Blazing Saddles, or he'll be calling for hate crimes legislation.
"Note too," AmPow thunders, "yesterday's leftist bigotry in Matthew Yglesias' slur against heterosexuals as 'breeders.'" I didn't know Matt was gay! I'll have to stop sending him pictures of Megan Fox, then.
"The truth is that leftists don't care about the advancement of minorities," says AmPow, "they care about the advancement of their own power." I'm afraid he misreads us -- or maybe just me; you guys might be attracting job offers from high Administration officials with your aperçus and japes, but my phone never rings. I'm only in it for the laughs, and I thank American Power for keeping them coming.
